I put this knife together for use in the shop to open boxes and cut miscellaneous items like outlines and sticks.
The file is a small K&F bastard and the handle scales are made from black G10 scales with matching pins and coyote tan Kydex liners.
Word to the wise: I used Kydex just because I had a couple of scrap pieces handy. For many reasons, Kydex is not ideal for this application. It doesn’t like adhesives and it is much softer than the G10. Therefore it tends to dish out a lot when sanding.
The good news is this isn’t exactly a showpiece so I can make the handle from Plasti-Dip if I want.
