CS 26C3 Puukko

My first attempt at a functional hidden tang knife! 

To put this together I had to create a filing guide and also modify a few of my small files. The resulting knife looks just amazing and worth the effort to learn a few new techniques. 

The handle is a scrap piece of mahogany and leather with brass at the butt and bolster. The blade itself is ground at 20 degrees in a “scandi” style since it seemed fitting for a Finnish-style knife. 

The angle is a bit acute for this type of grind however the 26C3 steel should hold up to cutting tasks with softer materials.
